## Release notes

## netbox-openbao 0.2.2

SSH quick-add can now create the connection IP address in the same transaction.

### Changes

- `new_ip_address` (a CIDR string such as `10.0.0.5/24`) on the quick-add REST action and the UI form, mutually exclusive with `ip_address`. The address is created inside the quick-add transaction, so a later failure rolls it back with everything else.
- An existing visible address with the same CIDR and no VRF is reused instead of creating a duplicate. Same-CIDR creation is serialized with a transaction-scoped lock.
- Creating the address needs the caller's own `ipam.add_ipaddress` permission.
- With neither input, the object's primary IP is used when the caller may view it. A hidden primary IP never blocks reusing a service that already has an address.
- A reused service keeps its address: a different explicitly requested address is rejected inside the transaction, and the same address is accepted.
- The response reports `ip_address_id` and `ip_address`, and only for an address the caller may view.

### Upgrade notes

No migration. Existing clients that pass `ip_address` or no address keep working.
